; m8 w! x* T6 {. o7 [! S4 M) FGetting an internet hosting account is beyond the scope of this guide, but a few things need to be said
/ D7 m" B: t0 `" ~1 X3 E; d& xabout internet hosting. In general, you get what you pay for with hosting. When you use a shared
7 x- F1 i& u# O8 c( X5 `host for PPV traffic, you are putting yourself at huge risk because your bandwidth is shared with9 s8 a- I4 i7 f/ v; g# e

Speed is the name of the game in PPV traffic. Your offers and landing pages need to pop up fast
' I8 n. U+ @5 Y$ Q, M" T. o( @enough that the visitor can't close the window before your pop up is even shown. You have about 3

1 Y g- @3 k6 u% ]/ xTo explain the difference between types of hosting packages, picture a refrigerator (the server) in a! c, z+ B9 E. V4 l
house full of roommates (hosting customers).4 r/ L4 B z3 y- t3 A* y' M: v
In shared hosting, this is like having roommates where everyone has no specific designated area inside

any type of hosting this is a bad thing, and especially while running PPV traffic.) W7 u) E% b2 J! G9 u
In the case of a virtual private server (VPS), everyone in the house has their own designated space9 Y6 S) d( r3 i; h, \

partitioned, so that each customer can only use a specific amount of resources at any given time." s8 r4 d$ I1 k F
A dedicated server would be like having the whole fridge to yourself. All of the server's resources7 L) o0 y W% T5 x* ~7 t

- [6 c: p5 }! L* N& b5 t! g) uAt the very minimum, you need a VPS to run PPV traffic, and at higher volumes, a dedicated server. U3 n( y2 K7 z& w K
