( F9 L! X0 w$ \' x4 g5 A% PGetting an internet hosting account is beyond the scope of this guide, but a few things need to be said
; l9 B0 {2 z2 E6 Iabout internet hosting. In general, you get what you pay for with hosting. When you use a shared% |, ~' {/ g5 N b6 U4 F8 f+ I

1 ` |1 I2 Q) |9 F5 F$ F% nSpeed is the name of the game in PPV traffic. Your offers and landing pages need to pop up fast7 ~3 z; P% n9 B' P0 P5 l3 x+ T
enough that the visitor can't close the window before your pop up is even shown. You have about 3

To explain the difference between types of hosting packages, picture a refrigerator (the server) in a# [" {& K4 k% _( r% @
house full of roommates (hosting customers).
( K1 d7 U" d W. l5 ]1 h& h" jIn shared hosting, this is like having roommates where everyone has no specific designated area inside" Z; ~% |, z: ?2 `8 v5 C

the rest of the roommates, by virtue of simply needing more space and resources to accommodate
" B ~0 e/ Z4 ^6 G2 G- r( P* j7 Gtheir food. Everyone else's food in the house has less space to take advantage of.
5 w- u- p4 `, G) X$ z4 PIf you have less server resources to take advantage of, your ability to serve popups will slow down. For4 B* T0 b4 S, ^5 w* @
any type of hosting this is a bad thing, and especially while running PPV traffic.4 w9 i$ i. L$ z" Z* G7 ]5 P2 L( W V
In the case of a virtual private server (VPS), everyone in the house has their own designated space' n& Z' V# M$ D9 P' X6 T
inside the fridge to put their food, and other roommates can't come into that space. The server is
6 W4 o: i/ g' O1 O& K" _partitioned, so that each customer can only use a specific amount of resources at any given time.
% U f# H5 T# G) q ?5 DA dedicated server would be like having the whole fridge to yourself. All of the server's resources5 W9 ^' |8 A; K( X9 {* W6 N6 t0 o

At the very minimum, you need a VPS to run PPV traffic, and at higher volumes, a dedicated server.
