Talks between Yahoo and Imgur began this autumn, according to a source talking to Business Insider, but this would be just the latest statement acquisition by Yahoo’s chief executive Marissa Mayer. 6 c% t8 A- D/ F P) W' g5 P8 r* M& f8 U6 _
Since leaving Google in 2012, Mayer has bought dozens of popular web startups, including paying $1.1bn for blogging site Tumblr and £18m for news app Summly.: V9 g5 q2 ?2 @6 P$ w( a* D) r
