Set Up Web Hosting
6 Y- S, X! @- O6 r6 sGetting an internet hosting account is beyond the scope of this guide, but a few things need to be said
3 Z3 g, a- d/ Y% q( Habout internet hosting. In general, you get what you pay for with hosting. When you use a shared
7 `6 z) {; c; ~$ d1 ]& T% uhost for PPV traffic, you are putting yourself at huge risk because your bandwidth is shared with
9 R/ N* G! `8 k; Z4 E+ A, Dwhoever else is on the same server as you.
& D! x( i# f9 G. nSpeed is the name of the game in PPV traffic. Your offers and landing pages need to pop up fast
) F% _ {. E! g) v8 L) L% ?" L' ]enough that the visitor can't close the window before your pop up is even shown. You have about 3& p N& U0 I1 k; t* H$ q
seconds before the user can get that window shut. If your offer doesn't show in that time, tough luck.
( o. e) c! U! h$ KTo explain the difference between types of hosting packages, picture a refrigerator (the server) in a Y$ h$ K- ]$ q% O) G; M4 }
house full of roommates (hosting customers). {, S7 B0 I7 k/ _4 r& H3 G( r
In shared hosting, this is like having roommates where everyone has no specific designated area inside
, @" }8 w$ `, M ?+ r; z2 g8 `the fridge where they are supposed to put their food. Everyone just jams their food in however it will# j% S7 R3 j& `0 Z) Z% y

the rest of the roommates, by virtue of simply needing more space and resources to accommodate% C P- s E. z% x% T1 I
their food. Everyone else's food in the house has less space to take advantage of.
. r6 Q- K2 g$ t6 I9 N' ^If you have less server resources to take advantage of, your ability to serve popups will slow down. For
, }" F, \; n4 vany type of hosting this is a bad thing, and especially while running PPV traffic.
2 H5 I3 e0 I3 U7 K4 uIn the case of a virtual private server (VPS), everyone in the house has their own designated space
1 P: j& o8 i# finside the fridge to put their food, and other roommates can't come into that space. The server is4 h! V0 I7 |& x; |) T5 ?0 J

( V0 [) S) J$ ]belong to you and no one else can use up those resources. This makes it possible to serve much more

7 J# ^' Z3 H$ [/ z9 QAt the very minimum, you need a VPS to run PPV traffic, and at higher volumes, a dedicated server.* W2 ~5 H( f, @$ b, W4 O7 r
